🎨 Side Quest: The Patience Trial

🎮 Dungeon Classification: Hidden Skill Room
📜 Prophecy Fragment:
> “Some doors don’t open with strength. They open when you learn to wait.”

🧭 The Discovery

I was just walking back from the Push-Up Pact chamber—arms sore, sweat drying like war paint—when it happened.

Click.

A tile depressed beneath my foot.
The wall beside me groaned, then slid open with a hiss of dust and forgotten air.

Tobito burst out laughing.
“Finally! You stepped on it, not me! I was starting to think I was cursed!”

The Judge tilted his head, unimpressed.
Tobito wiped a tear of salsa from his shell.
“Oh, this is rich. Go on, chosen one. Enter your destiny.”

🎨 The Room of Still Hands

Inside: a circular chamber lit by floating lanterns that drifted like patient moons.
The air smelled faintly of sandalwood and old parchment.
Dust motes swayed lazily in the beams of light.
Brushes hovered midair, trembling as if desperate to move but forbidden to do so.

A scroll rested on an easel, sealed with a wax scarab.
I broke the seal.

> “This is not a trial of speed.
> This is a trial of stillness.
> Paint. Slowly. Daily.
> Only patience reveals the relic.”

I’ve fought monsters, lifted weights, and outrun doubt.
But waiting?
That’s the one opponent I never trained for.

Tobito whispered, “You can work on this while you do your push-ups. One builds strength. The other builds stillness. Together? You become dangerous.”

🖌️ Today’s Practice

The silence was thick enough to sculpt.
Even Tobito’s usual humming died down, swallowed by the quiet.

I chose a brush.
It felt heavier than it looked—like it carried the weight of every rushed decision I’d ever made.

I dipped it in color.
Drew one careful line.
Then another.
Then I stopped.

Not because I was done.
But because I was learning to wait.

Somewhere beneath the layers of paint, something ancient stirred—waiting for seven days of still hands.

📜 Tobito’s Tips

- Patience Is a Weapon
“Most people rush. You? You’re learning to sharpen time.”

- Brushes Are Blades
“Every stroke is a choice. Every pause is power.
Just don’t lick the paint—it’s not salsa.”

- The Judge Is Watching
“He respects restraint. He honors the slow burn.
Probably bored out of his mind, though.”

🔮 Next Quest: Push-Up Pact

The chest still waits.
The torch still flickers.
But now, I carry a brush in one hand—and a little more patience in the other.

Tobito grinned. “You’re leveling up in stereo now.”

The torchlight quivered like a slow heartbeat.
The paint on my brush dried in silence—softly, deliberately.

Maybe that’s the real lesson:
Even stillness is movement—
if you’re paying attention.
