Entry #23 As a self-proclaimed geek, I've always had a passion for comic books, sci-fi, and horror movies. Growing up, these interests weren't mainstream, and comic book shows and conventions were mostly attended by fellow enthusiasts – mostly guys. I spent countless hours and dollars collecting comics, and I'm thrilled to see how much more inclusive and popular these genres have become over the years. My love for these interests has been shared by most of my girlfriends, except when it comes to horror movies – people either love them or hate them! When it came to decorating my home, I proudly showcased my geeky side, except in my bedroom, which remained a geek-free zone. Attending conventions and shows with my girlfriends has always been a blast. During one toy show, an ex-girlfriend asked if I'd ever thought about selling my collectibles at a show.
