🎙️ Opening Monologue — Running From Goblins and Excuses

> “Cardio always sneaks up on you.  
One minute, you’re promising yourself a light jog…  
the next, you’re sprinting for your life because someone forgot to roll initiative.”  

That someone was Tobito—my trickster familiar.  

He’s chaos wrapped in fur, with the energy of a toddler on espresso and the tactical wisdom of… well, me.  

I’m mid‑stretch, still thinking about breakfast, when he hurls the dice across the dirt. Clack, clack, clack. Snake eyes.  

The bushes rustle.  
Goblins.  

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” I mutter.  
Tobito, tail wagging, grins: “You said you wanted cardio, boss.”  

And suddenly, I’m running. The Guard—my loyal dog—bolts ahead, ears pinned back like a frontline tank. No treadmill, no curated playlist—just the sting of cold air in my lungs, mud splattering my calves, and the pounding of my heart like a war drum.  

Some people run to clear their minds.  
Some run for heart health.  
Me? I run because my familiar decided today’s workout was survival training.  

But somewhere between mile two and the flashing red of my stamina bar, I realize I’m smiling.  

Because cardio doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be pretty. It just has to be motion. Jog, sprint, or goblin‑fleeing panic—progress is progress.  

So if today feels heavy, if your motivation meter is low, remember: even the smallest stride can change the story.  

Now, if you’ll excuse me, Tobito just found the dice again. And that never means anything good.

The forest of excuses was thick today, but the goblin horde demanded we run anyway.  

We broke the line—The Guard leading the charge as the true frontline tank, Tobito zigzagging like chaos incarnate, and me, following the momentum.  

Through mud, over roots, lungs burning, heart hammering like a battle drum. Every stride burned, but each root cleared felt like cutting down another excuse.  

Today wasn’t about running from goblins.  
It was about running toward momentum.
