Tobito and Time Management
🎵 Song of the Day: I Feel Like Dancing – Leo Sawyer

The First Rep: Time Is Everything
Some days, it feels like there’s just not enough of me to go around. Between working at the meat counter, lifting and doing cardio, prepping meals, cleaning the house, doing dishes, writing this blog, keeping up the Nightly Storyteller horror blog, making crafts for my upcoming show, prepping for that show, talking to friends, and—oh yeah—trying to date… well, you get the idea.
I’ll be honest: it’s exhausting. But here’s the thing—if I don’t manage my time, none of this gets done. Not my workouts, not my blogs, not my life. That’s where Tobito comes in—my tiny, motivational sidekick with a way of putting things in perspective:
"Every minute you spend planning saves ten in regret," he chirps, practically bouncing in my imaginary peripheral vision.
And he’s right. Time management isn’t just a skill—it’s the backbone of everything I want to accomplish.

Grind and Glory: The Power of Planning
Without time management, all these “goals” are just dreams floating around in my head. Meal prep doesn’t happen, workouts get skipped, deadlines get missed, and suddenly I’m two days behind on everything.
I’ve learned that scheduling, planning, and being mindful of where my energy goes are non-negotiable. It’s hard work, sure—but when you finally see the results of all that effort, that’s the view from the top.

Mini Adventure: Tobito and the Refried Avenger Take Over
So today, my little friends decided they wanted to help me with time management. Tobito, with his boundless energy, and the Refried Avenger, ever dramatic, marched straight to my kitchen notebook and pen.
"We will conquer the clock!" Tobito declared.
"Yes… the tick… the tock… we shall… conquer it," added the Avenger, adjusting an imaginary cape.
They started scribbling, or at least trying to. Tobito suggested:
"Meal… preep at 5… then lif… lift… lift things!"
"Work… go… write blog… do… clean… yes, clean!" the Avenger countered.
They traded ideas back and forth, sharing little motivational quotes along the way:
"Sweat today… shine tomorrow!" Tobito cheered.
"Dis… dishes done… dreams begun!" Avenger chimed in, pointing dramatically at the fridge.
Their spelling was… imaginative, to say the least. I returned to the notebook later to see a giant smiley face at the top of the page and a chaotic list that somehow still made me grin. They had tried—and their enthusiasm was contagious.

Wins and Loses
Wins:
Got in my full workout.
Prepped meals for the next three days.
Finished laundry and dishes.
Made progress on crafts for the show.
Smiled at Tobito and Avenger’s “helpful” schedule.
Loses:
Time still feels tight.
Couldn’t get as far on the blog as I wanted.
Some days just feel like running in circles.
But every step counts, even the messy, chaotic ones.

Daily Victory Lap
I took a minute to pause, play I Feel Like Dancing, and just move. Felt good. Felt like celebrating the wins, acknowledging the loses, and keeping my eyes on the next climb. Time management is tough, but with the right attitude—and a little help from my imaginary friends—it’s completely possible.
"The Best View Comes after the hardest climb," I reminded myself. And today, I climbed a little higher.
