Chasing Excellence a Juggling Disaster

The First Rep
Work left me drained today—long hours, nonstop movement, the hum of machines and chatter buzzing in my ears even after I clocked out. The kind of exhaustion that tempts you to collapse on the couch and skip the gym. But Tobito wouldn’t let me off that easy.
"Hey!" he barked from my shoulder as I laced up my shoes, “Tired or not, this is where you grow. Don’t let the day own you—you own it.”
His words sank in as I pushed through the fatigue. The gym was packed—weights clanging, the sharp scent of disinfectant mixing with sweat, music pounding over the speakers. Still, there was something calming about the rhythm: step onto the treadmill, grip the barbell, breathe through the burn. The chaos outside melted into focus.

Grind and Glory
The grind was real today. Work had chewed me up, spit me out, and left me dragging. My body begged for rest, but I showed up anyway. The gym being crowded didn’t make things easier—I had to weave through bodies, wait for a bench, fight the urge to say “forget it.”
But here’s the glory: I didn’t. I lifted, I pushed, I sweated. The weights clinked in my hands, metal cold and unforgiving. My lungs filled with the sharp smell of rubber mats and iron. Every rep felt heavier than usual, but every rep counted.
And beyond that? I finally got everything I need to start making more crafts. The boxes stacked neatly at home are little reminders of progress—not just in fitness, but in creativity. Momentum isn’t just physical; it’s mental too.

Mini Adventure
Later, while I was unpacking the craft supplies, Tobito spotted a bag of tortilla chips on the counter. His eyes lit up like it was the Fourth of July.
"Watch this," he said, grabbing a handful. “I’ve been practicing my juggling.”
The Refried Avenger raised an eyebrow but smirked. “Finally! Some entertainment. Show me what you’ve got.”
Tobito tossed the chips into the air, his little hands moving fast. The chips spun, cracked, and rattled as they smacked against each other mid-air. One slipped, landing on the counter with a salty crunch.
"Not bad, not bad,” the Refried Avenger clapped. “You’ve got flair!”
Tobito grinned, tossing higher now, the chips flashing in the kitchen light. But fate had other plans—one rogue chip spun wide and smacked the Refried Avenger square on the head, crumbling into crumbs.
"Ow! Betrayed by tortilla!" he cried, brushing bits of salt and corn from his cloak.
Tobito doubled over laughing. “Guess you caught excellence… right in the forehead!”
The kitchen smelled faintly of fried corn, crumbs littering the counter like confetti. I shook my head, laughing along, because even in chaos, these two remind me that joy sneaks into the grind if you let it.

Wins and Losses
Wins:
Survived a busy, exhausting workday.
Made it to the gym despite wanting to skip.
Finally stocked up on everything needed for crafts.
Losses:
The gym crowd made it harder to focus.
My energy tank was running low most of the day.

Closing Motivation
Tobito reminds me (between juggling disasters): “It doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to keep moving forward.”
