Power-Up Evening: Small Wins, Big Moves




Song of the Day: “Holding Out for a Hero”

Today was one of those days where the air is electric, the music is loud, and you feel like you might actually have superpowers… or at least enough energy to not eat cereal for dinner.

After my workout—45 minutes of lifting and 45 minutes of cardio—I returned home, sweaty and sore, but proud. That’s when my two favorite imaginary sidekicks, Tobito as Positivity Prime and the Refried Avenger as Tranquil Titan, appeared to help me in the kitchen.

Tranquil Titan was quietly adding protein powder to my shake, each scoop measured with the precision of a zen master. Meanwhile, Positivity Prime couldn’t contain his excitement. He tried to speed things up—flinging protein powder around like confetti at a parade. A cloud of powder landed squarely on his pristine new costume.

“Hey!” he exclaimed, eyes wide. “Clean me up!”

I couldn’t help but laugh. “You do realize you’re an imaginary sentient taco with an imaginary costume, right?” I said.

Positivity Prime’s shoulders slumped, and a tiny watery glint appeared in his eyes. I waved my hand, and as if by magic—or maybe by the power of belief—his costume sparkled clean again. His smile returned instantly.

It reminded me of something important today: small wins matter. Sometimes, it’s not about smashing a new PR or doing the perfect meal prep. Sometimes, it’s about showing up, doing your best, and cleaning up the little messes along the way—even if they’re imaginary protein spills.

By the time dinner was ready, the three of us were laughing (well, I was laughing), the kitchen was spotless, and my protein shake was perfectly blended. Tobito danced around, and Tranquil Titan gave me a nod of approval. Mission accomplished.

So here’s the takeaway for today: small actions—extra steps, adding protein, showing up for yourself—stack up over time. Don’t underestimate the power of a little consistency and the occasional imaginary superhero intervention.
