🔧 When Things Take Longer Than They Should
The plan was simple: finish the flooring, fix the toilet, work out, go to bed feeling accomplished.
Reality?
The flooring is still dragging on.
The toilet? It continues its reign of chaos.
By the time I finally sat down, I wasn’t sure who had defeated me more—vinyl planks or a stubborn flush.
But I still worked.
I still worked out.
And even if today didn’t go as planned... I showed up.

🌅 Morning Motivation (or Chaos?)
I got up early—real early.
The kind of early where one wrong creak wakes the dog… and worse: the tacos.
Specifically one taco.
With a sweatband.
And a whole lot of feelings.

🌮 Tobito’s Grand Entrance
My escape plan was flawless—until I opened the door. A sliver of light broke through and—BAM!
Tobito launched from somewhere near the protein powder shelf like a motivational missile.
> TOBITO:
“OH SNAP, YOU’RE UP?! LET’S GO LEGEND! FLOORING? TOILET? GYM? WHO CARES—YOU’RE DOING IT!
DID YOU STRETCH YET? I MADE A PLAYLIST! I LAMINATED A TO-DO LIST! I BOUGHT YOU A NEW TOILET BOOK!”
I didn’t even have time to respond. He was already doing a dance routine with dumbbells and spilling my pre-workout while quoting Rocky IV.
He means well. He really does.

🥄 Enter: The Refried Avenger
While Tobito was doing burpees in the kitchen (again, uninvited), the Refried Avenger appeared behind me like a burrito-wrapped ghost.
> REFRIED AVENGER (softly, calmly):
“One task at a time.
Do what you can.
Then rest.
Peace is found in the pause.”
He patted my shoulder and handed me a cup of water with lemon.
Tobito immediately yelled, “HYDRATION IS KING!” and knocked half of it onto the floor.
They started arguing again.
I left them to it. Again.

🏁 Real Talk: Long Days Are Still Progress
Today didn’t feel epic.
It didn’t feel motivational.
But it was still something: progress.
It’s not always about perfect execution.
Sometimes it’s about quiet resilience—getting up early, pushing through what you can, moving a little closer to your goals. Even when your toilet betrays you.
And sometimes? Sometimes you just need a song like “Hold Me Now.”
Because everyone—yes, even tacos—needs a hug now and then.
---
💬 Let’s Talk: What Got You Through Today?
Maybe your version of today was a kitchen disaster, a missed workout, or total mental burnout.
Whatever it was—how’d you keep going?
Who’s your Tobito?
What’s your “hold me now” song?
Drop a comment and share the little wins, the loud tacos, and the long days.
Because no matter how broken the toilet or how delayed the floors…
we’re still moving forward.
One laugh.
One mess.
One overly dramatic taco at a time.
