"Don't Forget My Number: Why Showing Up is Always a Win"

🌅 New Day, New Lesson:

Don’t Forget My Number

🎵 Song of the Day: “Don’t Forget My Number” – Milli Vanilli
Yeah, I know. Say what you want, but that beat just hits—especially when your mood’s scrambled like overcooked eggs and your guts are staging a silent protest.

This morning started with a twist—literally. I woke up nauseous.
Not “skip breakfast” nauseous—more like “did I eat a haunted chimichanga?” kind of sick.

Didn’t matter to my faithful four-legged alarm clock. He came charging in like it was Christmas morning, tail wagging and eyes wide, ready to go outside like I wasn’t battling some invisible stomach demon. You gotta love that kind of loyalty.

I dragged myself into my workout gear and hit the gym. Honestly? It helped—a little. Not a full miracle, but enough to make me feel slightly less like I was melting from the inside out.

🍽️ Food today? Minimal. No appetite. And that’s weird for me—I usually eat like the pantry's got an expiration date. I think something I ate yesterday didn’t agree with me. (RIP to the leftover mystery burrito. You were suspicious from the start.)

🌿 Interviews, Weeds, and Goodbyes

Despite the rocky start, there was a bright spot.
The horror blog interview went really well—better than expected, even. It reminded me why I chase these dreams. Why I write, why I hustle, why I push myself even when I feel like a haunted burrito victim: because these moments are mine. And they matter.

Afterward, I kept my hands busy: pulling weeds, cleaning the house, ticking off to-dos. The kind of chores that seem meaningless but secretly work like therapy in disguise.

Then came the goodbye.

A friend is stepping into a new chapter. No drama, no fireworks—just life doing what it does. She’s making a move that’s right for her and her future, and I’m proud of her.
But saying “good luck and take care” still hit harder than I expected.

Some people come into your life like background music—subtle, steady, and suddenly missed when they’re gone. No romance, no drama—just something real.

Today felt a little lonely.

🏁 Progress Isn’t Always Physical

This wasn’t a “crush your goals” kind of day.
No impressive lifts. No big cardio milestones.
But I still got up. I still showed up. I worked out, handled what needed handling, and let myself feel what I needed to feel.

Some days, that’s the win.

So here’s to progress that doesn’t show up on the scale but shows up in the effort. In the consistency. In the heart.

Until tomorrow—
don’t forget my number.

(And maybe double-check those leftovers before you trust them.)

🎧 Song Recap:

“Don’t Forget My Number” – Milli Vanilli
Cheesy? Maybe. But sometimes, you just need an upbeat track to drown out the static in your head and remind you of the people, places, and moments that keep you grounded—even if they’re not beside you anymore.
