You Give HVAC a Bad Name-But at Least the Gym Doesn't

Let’s start with the good part: the gym. There’s something comforting about starting the day under the familiar clang of weights and hum of treadmills. It’s a place where sweat equals progress and frustration gets benched—literally. After knocking out my workout, I rewarded myself with a nice breakfast. Protein, carbs, and just a pinch of peace. A perfect morning, or so I thought.

Enter the A/C technician… or rather, re-enter the saga of “Why is it so hard to fix an A/C unit?” Today was supposed to be the glorious, cool-air return of my HVAC hero. Instead, they showed up only to tell me—again—they couldn’t fix it today. At this point, I’m starting to think my broken A/C is plotting against me. Or maybe it’s just auditioning for a horror movie: The House That Sweated.

Frustrating? Yes. Maddening? Absolutely. But thankfully, today wasn’t a total wash. Time with friends and family always has a way of bringing me back to center. Good food, good laughs, and my faithful companion soaking up attention like a furry celebrity—all helped turn the day around. Sometimes healing isn’t just about the body; it’s about the people (and pets) you share your time with.

And today’s song? Bon Jovi’s You Give Love a Bad Name—except I’m directing that chorus at my A/C. "Shot through the duct, and you're to blame!" Still, despite the hiccups, I’m grateful for the wins: a workout crushed, laughter shared, and a reminder that even on hot days, life’s about finding cool moments wherever you can.
