"How I Stayed on Track with My Weight Loss Goals Despite 2 Brutal Days"
🎶 Song of the Day: “I’m So Excited” – The Pointer Sisters 🎶
You ever have one of those days where you’re so tired your eyelids are staging a mutiny? That’s been me, folks. Running on fumes, sleep-deprived, and barely functioning—but still going. Why? Because we’re in the ring now. I made a promise to myself that I’d keep pushing, even if life throws back-to-back uppercuts.
Last night? The A/C technician was at my place until after 11 PM. I wish I was exaggerating. My sleep? A tragic comedy. And I still had to be up by 5 AM for work. That’s not just dedication, that’s some "Rocky training montage while sleepwalking" kind of commitment.
But you know what? I made it.
✔️ I survived work.
✔️ I hit the gym.
✔️ I came back and waited (again) for another technician.
✔️ My A/C? Finally working. Sweet, sweet climate control.
✔️ And yes—I installed my toilet tonight, too.
Somewhere in the chaos, the chorus of “I’m So Excited” played in my head like a victory chant. I’m not even mad at how ridiculous it all sounds. I got stuff done. It wasn’t perfect, it wasn’t pretty, but it was progress.
Tomorrow? It’s clean-up day. That’s the final boss of this exhausting little saga. After two long days of home repairs, balancing fitness, adulting like a pro (or at least like a determined mess), and trying not to fall asleep mid-rep at the gym—I will have my sanctuary back.
The goal remains the same:
💪 Lose the weight.
🧠 Improve myself.
💵 Save money.
😴 And tonight? Get. Some. Sleep.
Because this is what the journey really looks like sometimes. It’s not glamorous. It’s sweat, stress, and stubborn persistence. And sometimes, just sometimes, it’s a Pointer Sisters anthem pushing you through the fatigue.
