"Embracing the Exhaustion: A Glimpse Into a Busy Day With Big Dreams"

Entry #146 Who Needs Sleep?

Some days start with exhaustion and still manage to fill your heart with purpose. Today was one of those days. After a restless night, I woke up feeling drained, yet determined to keep moving forward. Life doesn’t pause when you’re tired—it just keeps going, and so did I.

Sleep eluded me last night, leaving me groggy this morning. But my loyal companion, full of energy, jumped into the day early, eager to play. Eventually, even he wore himself out and went back to bed for a nap. I made myself some breakfast and began getting ready for the long day ahead.

Exhaustion has a way of making time drag, and today felt never-ending. Despite being tired, I pushed through and got everything on my to-do list done. After work and a gym session, I made one last essential stop to pick up an order. There had been an amazing online sale on some items I genuinely needed—an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

When I finally made it home, I was welcomed with excited tail wags from my dog. We played outside for a bit before coming in for dinner. After cleaning up, we headed back out again for one more round of play. His energy is contagious—even when I’m tired, I find joy in these little moments with him.

Later, once he settled down for another nap, I turned to more work—this time for my upcoming show. The first show of the year holds major importance for me. It sets the tone for the rest of the season and helps me plan the other events I want to be a part of. Switching to a new inventory app has been a challenge—it means redoing my entire catalog to stay organized and ready to sell. It’s tedious work, but it's a necessary step toward growth and success. I'm hopeful that, by the end of the year, I’ll finally be able to downsize my storage unit—something I’ve been working toward for a while.

This first show also feels like the unofficial kickoff to summer. And this summer? It’s shaping up to be one full of change—in the best ways. New restaurants are opening nearby (one even within walking distance!), and the season promises a vibrant lineup of festivals, garage sales, farmers markets, and flea markets. Game nights, dating, and simply enjoying life under the sun are all on the horizon.

I'm excited for what’s to come. This year feels different—like a turning point. I’m ready to keep working on myself, embracing the changes around me, and stepping into a chapter that feels fuller, brighter, and more alive.

I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.
