"Balancing Travel, Work, and Life: Lessons From an Unforgettable Weekend"
Entry #157 Life is a Highway
Wow — what a wild, exhausting, and unforgettable weekend that was!
I knew heading into it that the next few days were going to be busy and hectic, but honestly, I didn’t expect it to hit me as hard as it did. Even with early mornings and non-stop movement, it never seemed like there were enough hours in the day to get everything done.
But looking back... I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

A Road Trip Fueled by Excitement (and Coffee)
Saturday started early.
With a three-hour drive ahead of me, I made sure to shower, pack up the van, and meet up with my crew for breakfast before hitting the road.
We left right on schedule — hoping to stay ahead of traffic and buy myself enough time to set up for my upcoming show.
Unfortunately, life had other plans.
Traffic delays meant the drive home took longer than expected — and the clock was ticking.
---
Unload, Reload, Repeat
The second I pulled into my driveway, there was no time to waste.
I quickly unloaded the van, dropped the seats, and reloaded it with everything I needed for the vendor show.
There’s something almost surreal about that kind of hustle — when you're running on pure adrenaline, focused only on what needs to happen next.
An hour later, I was back on the road, racing against the clock again.
I made it to the show with just two hours before they locked the doors for the night.

Setting Up Under Pressure
Setting up should’ve been easy.
Instead? Customers were already browsing through my stuff as I was unloading it!
It felt like trying to build a sandcastle in the middle of a rising tide.
Tables were being moved, shelving units being assembled, all while fielding questions and trying to mentally check off my setup list.
By the time everything was finally in place, I realized I still had a few more things I needed to bring for Sunday’s big show day.
I made a quick list, packed up, and left right as they were locking the doors behind me.
---
One Last Push Before Collapsing
After grabbing the final items I needed, I squeezed in a quick gym session (because, why not make the day even crazier?) before heading out on a date that night.
By the time I got home, I felt like I had lived three separate days — but there were still some last-minute touches I had to finish for the next morning.
Finally, sometime deep into the night, I crashed.

Showtime: Full Speed Until the Finish Line
Sunday arrived in a blur.
Another early wake-up call.
Another race against the clock to get to the show early enough to set up and be ready before the first wave of customers arrived.
And when they did?
They never stopped coming.
The show was busy from the moment the doors opened until the very last minute it closed.
Sales, conversations, laughter, tired feet, quick water breaks — the day passed in a buzzing, electrifying rush.
When the final customer left and it was time to pack up... I could barely believe the weekend was already ending.
---
Exhausted, but Grateful
Physically and mentally, the last four days absolutely drained me.
But emotionally?
I feel thankful.
From the road trip to the NFL Draft, from the vendor floor to the conversations with new faces — every moment was packed with memories I’ll hang onto for a long time.
Sometimes the best adventures are the ones that leave you needing a nap and a smile afterward.
