'Feeling Overwhelmed: Finding Balance in a Busy Life"
Entry #140 Day of Rest
Lately, exhaustion has been taking over both my body and mind. The past few days have been a whirlwind, leaving me drained and struggling to keep up. Between late-night basketball games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, I haven't been able to get a solid night’s rest. Combine that with a busy work schedule and lingering pain from my injury, and it feels like I’m running on empty.
Each day seems to pass in a blur, from the moment the sun rises until I finally collapse into bed. Maybe I’ve been pushing myself harder than I have in a long time. It’s frustrating to feel like life is controlling me rather than the other way around. Somewhere along the way, I lost my sense of balance, and now I need to figure out how to take back control.
On a positive note, today felt a little more productive. I finally got some much-needed maintenance done on my car, squeezed in a workout, cleaned up, and even picked up a new air freshener. On top of that, I’ve been busy preparing for an upcoming trip and show, which has added to my already packed schedule. Maybe it's the excitement of both that’s pushing me to keep going, even when I know I should slow down.
As I reflect on everything, I realize that I need to set more realistic expectations for myself. Maybe I’ve been grouping all my goals together instead of tackling them one at a time. It’s easy to get overwhelmed when everything feels like a priority, but I need to focus on what truly matters. Hopefully, I’ll be able to find a better balance, regain control, and move forward in a healthier, more positive direction.
