"To Be Debonair or Not: A Journey of Self-Discovery"
Entry #40
I never thought much about my clothing, shoes, or accessories until recently. Growing up, I was content with throwing on whatever fit, without a second thought about how I looked. I was happy in my simplicity, rocking shorts and t-shirts throughout my younger years.
That all changed when I received some constructive criticism from someone close to me. After my breakup, I was told that my wardrobe was a bit childish. It was time for an upgrade. I started incorporating jeans, button-down shirts, and polo's into my wardrobe. The feedback was positive, and I found myself going on more dates and enjoying nights out with friends.
However, it wasn't until I started wearing watches and swapping jeans for khaki pants that I began to shift my perspective. One evening, someone complimented me on my "dapper" look. While I appreciated the sentiment, I realized that being "dapper" – emphasizing style and neatness – wasn't enough for me. I aspired to be "debonair," exuding charm, style, and confidence.
For me, being debonair is about more than just a wardrobe upgrade; it's about cultivating charm and confidence. It's a journey that requires effort and dedication, but one that I believe will have a profound impact on my life.
As I continue on this path, I'm reminded that nothing worth achieving comes easily. But I'm excited for the challenge, knowing that the payoff will be well worth it.
