*The Soundtrack to My Sweat*
Entry #27
As a child, I was obsessed with the Rocky movies. Who wouldn't be inspired by Sylvester Stallone's determination and epic montages? Those iconic horn blasts in "Gonna Fly Now" still get me pumped up to this day.
As an adult, I've learned to harness the power of music to motivate my workouts. I have two trusty playlists: one for when I'm feeling motivated, and another for when I need a kick in the pants. The latter is aptly labeled "Motivation" and features a mix of Rocky soundtracks, heavy metal anthems, and other energetic tunes.
When the horns kick in, it's like a switch flips, and I'm ready to take on the world (or at least my weightlifting routine). The rest of the playlist keeps me going, with tracks from the Eagles, Tom Petty, Prince, and even some Nat "King" Cole to keep things classy.
But let's be real, cardio can be a snooze-fest. That's where podcasts come in – they're like having a personal trainer, life coach, and entertaining buddy all rolled into one. I can tune in, zone out, and learn something new while I'm sweating it out.
Now, I'm curious – should I create separate playlists for different aspects of my workout routine? Would it be a game-changer or a distraction? Maybe I'll experiment and report back.
In the meantime, I'd love to hear from you: what's your go-to workout playlist? Do you have any secret motivational tracks or podcasts that get you moving?
