The Holiday Season: When Everyone Asks About Your New Year's Plans
Entry #26
The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes the inevitable question: "What are you doing for New Year's Eve?" Honestly, I hadn't given it much thought until someone asked me today. Christmas seems to be the more pressing concern for now.
New Year's Eve plans are a bit like Halloween plans - people make them, but they're always on the lookout for something better. At least, that's what I've observed. Unless someone has travel plans, needs a babysitter, or has a specific event in mind, most people seem to be undecided.
As a single person, I have the luxury of choosing how I want to spend my New Year's Eve. Do I go out with friends, attend a house party, or do something entirely different? The possibilities are endless, but so are the uncertainties.
Work will be busy that week, which might impact my plans. I could host a party at my place, but that comes with its own set of challenges - how many people will show up? How much food and drinks will I need? And, of course, there's the dreaded cleanup.
With over three weeks to go, I know some people have already made their plans. But I'm not one of them. Maybe in two weeks, I'll revisit the idea. Or maybe I'll wait until the last minute to decide. Who knows?
