"A Day of Productivity and Self-Care"

Entry #112 Today was one of those rare days where everything seemed to fall into place. I woke up feeling unstoppable, with the iconic sounds of Stevie Wonder's "Sir Duke" playing in the background as I let my dog out and got ready to tackle the day. The sun was shining brightly, setting the tone for a perfect day. My top priority was finishing the shed, which I knew would give me the momentum I needed to tackle the rest of my tasks. With the warm and sunny weather, my dog was happy to join me as I worked on the shed. We spent the morning getting rid of unnecessary items, organizing boxes and bags, and even assembling a new dolly I had purchased. Finishing the shed ahead of schedule was a great feeling, and it gave me the confidence to take on the rest of my day. Entry #111  After being sidelined by an injury, I've often been asked, "Why are you so eager to get back to work?" It's as if the notion of wanting to return to work is perplexing. However, my desire to get back to work is driven by multiple factors: earning a steady income, regaining a sense of routine, and progressing with my life. My previous experience with injury-related downtime was brutal. I was out of commission for eleven months, which took a toll on my mental and emotional well-being. The loss of income, social isolation, and inability to engage in physical activities like going to the gym exacerbated my depression. Feeling trapped and helpless, I struggled to cope with the challenges that came with being sidelined.
